At the end of each year, it is customary to take stock of the year. We analyze what we did well, what we could improve and finally what we should have avoided.
At the same time we make a wish and give a promise for the coming year. This promise is usually accompanied by a goal and an implementation plan. Our goal presupposes some assumptions and predictions for the future.
It is not our responsibility to write about your personal goals or the goals of your company. However, we take the liberty to make predictions for the general “economic” future of 2022.
Quite a few people have been predicting major economic and financial disasters for years. Their dire predictions intensified more so with the pandemic. They were refuted.
Many entrepreneurs reduced or postponed new investments in their businesses.
Some people, anticipating impending disasters, sold whatever shares they had and preferred the “security” of cash. They too were refuted.
We are no prophets; that is for sure. But we are among those who remain optimistic and do not believe that Armageddon is ante portas.
There are millions of people on our planet who strive every day for a better economic life. They are the ones who contribute to global development. There may be a lag in growth in the short term and stocks may temporarily fall, but in the long run, global growth will prevail and investments will pay off.
Our belief is that resorting to “cash security” is a defeatist approach, which among other things has definite losses due to inflation.
Hence for next year, we wish you optimism, positive energy and confidence.
Happy Holidays from EBITS!
